Our Vehicle Import Process
Importing a vehicle through Greenvest Motors is a smooth, transparent, and professional experience from start to finish. With over a decade of industry expertise, we’ve streamlined the entire process into clear, manageable steps — from sourcing and inspection to documentation, payment, and delivery.
Step 1: Vehicle Sourcing
We begin by identifying and sourcing the right vehicle for you through our trusted network in South Africa and Thailand. You share your preferred make, model, budget, and specifications — and we get to work.
Step 2: Negotiation & Pre-Purchase Inspection
Our team negotiates the best possible deal on your behalf. We conduct a thorough inspection to verify mileage, condition, service history, accident-free status, and legal documentation. Inspection reports and photos are shared before proceeding.
Step 3: First Payment – Vehicle Purchase
Once you approve the unit, you make your first payment (vehicle purchase price only). This enables us to buy the vehicle and initiate export procedures.
Step 4: Documentation & Compliance Processing
We handle all export documentation including:
SARPCO Police Clearance
ITAC Export Permit
SADC Certificate (if applicable)
This ensures your vehicle is compliant and ready for cross-border movement.
Step 5: Customs Duty & Second Payment
Once duties are assessed, we notify you with the figures. You then make your second payment for customs duties through the bank or our office. We proceed with dispatch after this payment is received.
Step 6: Delivery Logistics
We organize secure delivery of your vehicle to your location — Zimbabwe, Zambia, or Botswana — via car carrier or self-drive, depending on your preference. Delivery usually takes 8 to 10 working days.
Step 7: Final Payment – Service Fee
Upon successful delivery, you make the final payment covering our service fee. We ensure you’re satisfied with every aspect of the transaction.
Step 8: Registration & Handover
We assist with final handover and registration of the vehicle, completing the process and putting the keys in your hands. Hassle-free.
